Documenation Final Day

Date: 4/14/2023

The person who makes/writes the documentation: Elijah.

Plan: Today, the plan was to deliver the rest of the house prints to the students so they may finalize their project. The students were supposed to either finish designing their environment or paint their houses. We will give the students around 30 minutes to complete their work before we start a casual critique. We hope this introduction to critique expands their knowledge and prepare them for the art world.

Glows: Pretty much all the students finished their work, or at the very least had their house painted and somewhat of an environment. The critique went pretty well too. We decided to join all the houses together and have students give feedback via sticky notes. It seemed as though everyone got a sticky note, which is good because feedback is necessary for growth. Overall this project went well, even though it took some time to learn in the beginning.

Grows: Nothing was especially bad today, there were a couple of boys that were giving Julius a hard time, but we still reached our goal of having the majority be finished and participate in a critique.

Analysis:  I think this project and today went well. We managed to keep most of the students engaged for the majority of the time. Not only that, but some students seemed to have a lot of fun with this project. We didn't run into too many behavior problems, and the ones we did, we were able to sort out. The critique was also a success. Students got to see their work presented next to their classmates and also had the opportunity to give feedback. We made sure to keep it similar to Grow/Glow so it's not discouraging to the artists. Although we had some kids missing, the majority of the kids were able to finish and participate in the critique.  This was overall a good experience, even though it was slow and frustrating in the beginning, we were able to persevere and deliver a successful lesson utilizing the 3-D printer.
